How can we transform culturel diversity into valuable resources at home?
FIRSTLY, we looked at the following picture with our group mates and everyone said that the own idea. Then we discussed same Picture with the other group mates. The Picture is:
All concepts about the picture;
One of the monkeys have long legs and short arms,
The other three monkeys have long arms and short legs,
Lastly three monkeys are same and a monkey is different than the other.
And we talked about ‘how can we teach diversity of the culture in the class?’
We said this opinion; we must use different materials(cartoons, games, films, musics, boks, movies, projects, pictures etc.) for introducing different culture
AFTER THAT;
We have studied the document about article 28,29,30 in convention on the rights of the child.

QUESTIONS ABOUT THE FILM:
- What does this have to do with diversity?
The child has black skin so he is different than the other children. So they didn’t like black boy.
- What did the teacher try to do?
The teacher tried to help for new child get used to school.
- What should the teacher have done?
She should have said everybody can be different so everybody must be respectful to the other persons. She should have told the new boy’s culture to other students and she should have said why was new boy different than other students.
We watched a movie more from multilingual school and discussed about the movie in the class.
In my opinion; Multicultural education is a field of study and whose major aim is to create equal educational opportunities for students from diverse racial, ethnic, social-class, and cultural groups. One of its important goals is to help all students to acquire the knowledge, attitudes, and skills needed to function effectively in a pluralistic democratic society and to interact, negotiate, and communicate with peoples from diverse groups in order to create a civic and moral community that works for the common good.
Students learn each other’s languages and cultures, actively listening to each other and meeting each other with mutual love, respect in multilingual school.
FINALLY; we were divided into two groups. Teacher gave some pictures and we made a common story with pictures. We lined up and all of us had a picture. Everybody told pictures in the hands with own language.
It was verry funnyJ because anybody didn’t know the other friend’s language.
I think it was very good activity. I feel very nice when ı talk own language. But no one do not understand each other when everybody talk own languge. We are understanding the importance of culture.
We may define multicultural education as a field of study designed to increase educational equity for all students that incorporates, for this purpose, content, concepts, principles, theories, and paradigms from history, the social and behavioral sciences, and particularly from ethnic studies.
